Rounding And Compensating (Multiplication)

W.A.L.T: Use rounding and compensating for our multiplication, So it could be easier for in the future. (I'm typing in the video, Because it was too loud in the background. 😄😜) In my math's hub which is in Te Kauru Nui, We are learning to use the strategy 'Rounding and Compensating.' But with multiplication questions. One number has to be double digit, Then the other number has to be one digit. (E.g: 72 x 4). Then, You must see if its over 5, or under 6. Over 5 is plus. under 6 is minus. So 72 - 2 = 70. So the new equation is: 70 x 4 = 280. Then you must add the two back on. It can't just be 280 + 2. It needs to be 8. Because 2 x 4 = 8. So 280 + 8 = 288. It's quite simple, Maybe you can try it and show your teacher! Next time, I'm going to try to use more difficult equations

My names Jordan, I <3 Husky's. I am 10 years old and My birthday is on March the first. In my family I have two brothers. Their names are Alex and Xavier. They’re twins. They are REALLY annoying. They hide things from me and sometimes slip things into my bag. I’m good at math, Writing and other stuff. My goals are trying to score 100 in my math's. I love hanging out with my friends. In my typing, I'm trying to get as fast as my teachers. Its really hard though. I hope I get 100 (: Its my dream goal. I have never got it in my whole entire life. Also I hope I get as fast as my teachers I’m getting there. Slowly. My handwriting is okay. But Im starting to get better. Im practicing during school. Okay bye!

Te Kauru Camp 2018 - (Writing 2nd Draft)

Fear fall Up, up we go! I gazed down with a nervous look. Watching Mereana shake just makes me scared. I haven’t been on any of these rides before! “Already doing something that I hate the most” I thought to myself. I have the feeling of unbuckling and jumping off the ride. Going higher and higher makes butterflies race faster around my stomach. I thought to myself: “Regret, Regret, Regret,” it keeps repeating as I slowly go higher. Clink! It stopped? Huh? Well this isn’t bad. Heh, I jinxed myself badly on that one. Wooooosh! I close my eyes while grinding my teeth. As I got off the seat, I felt like crying as I waddled back to my bag. I hear someone crying, It was Wiremu! He had a fear of heights without anyone knowing. At least I know why it’s called “Fear Fall.” Bailey's reaction is my reaction when I got on, Regreting everything My realization that it was that high. Hating every single moment of the Fear fall. x'D
